For Referrers

Black Swan Clinical Psychology welcomes referrals for: Medicare, ED, DVA, WorkCover, NDIS and is also happy to see patients via Telehealth , for those who may  live outside of the Sunshine Coast

How long does each session last?

Sessions run for approximately 45-50 minutes. Should you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Early notification of cancellations allows appointments to be offered to others who may be on a waiting list.

What treatments are offered?

Treatments are tailored and client-centred to cater to individual needs and presentation. Your therapist draws from a number of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to design your treatment plan, which is then discussed with you after your initial intake session(s) have been completed. The following treatment interventions are offered: for example - CBT; CBT-E; ACT; Mindfulness; PET; schema-based therapy, neuropsychotherapeutic and polyvagal strategies.
 

What age range of clients do you treat?

Black Swan Clinical Psychology is happy to accept clients over the age of 18.

What are the therapist's qualifications?

Your therapist has 6 years F/T study of psychology, the last two years specialising in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment for mental health disorders, as well as 1 year in supervised practise as a Clinical Registrar. Your therapist has practised as a clinical psychologist for over 12 years on the Sunshine Coast. Prior to training in psychology she worked as a High School teacher, specialising in physical education, dance and modern history.
